Oz Naturals Hyaluronic Acid Serum Review

Disclosure: This product was sent to me for review. However, opinion is purely my own.

Hello! Today I am reviewing the Oz Naturals Hyaluronic Acid Serum with Vitamin C.

When it comes to skincare, I am trying to look for products that have less harmful chemicals. Even though my skin is not particularly sensitive to fragrance, I would avoid it when I can (why risk it anyway). Here’s a description of Oz Naturals.

OZ Naturals is a leader in natural skincare. We formulate the most effective anti aging products on the market. Our products are cruelty-free, paraben free, sulfate free, mineral oil free, lanolin free and gluten free.

Product Claims:

  • Plumps & hydrates dry dull skin
  • Assists in Balancing Skin Moisture Levels
  • Diminishes surface lines and wrinkles by stimulating collagen

My Experience:

First of all, let’s talk about the packaging. It comes in a bottle with a dropper. There is 1fl oz (30ml) of product inside. The product looks clear. It is made in the USA. What’s good about the packaging is that when i squeeze the dropper in the bottle, then take it out to squeeze out the product, it gives me exactly enough product for my face and neck.

One thing I did notice about the dropper is that it doesn’t go to the very bottom of the bottle. It will be hard to get the last bit of the products out.

Second thing I noticed is the smell. It is subtle and pleasant. I don’t see scent in the ingredient list so I am assuming this is how the product naturally smells.

I used this serum at night only. I wash my face with cleanser and wash cloth. Then I put a thin layer of this serum and letting it absorb onto my skin while putting on my eye cream. After the serum has been absorb completely (in 15 seconds), I will put on moisturizer.

I have combination skin (dry cheeks & oily t-zone). After using this product for 5 night straight, I can feel my skin is more soft, hydrated, and smooth. When I wash my face the next morning, I can still feel the serum on my face.

Since I am in my 20s, I cannot test the claim about diminishing surface lines and wrinkles. What I can say is that it is a great organic serum compared to other serums in the market.

Overall: I do like this product. I think I would use more often as I age. I really like the fact it is made with natural ingredients (92% natural and 72% organic according to the labels). 4/5

Oz Natural Hyaluronic Acid Serum can be found on for $16.45 and for CAD $19.95 with free shipping.

Sally Hansen Commander in Chic Nail Polish Swatch and Review

Here is another review post on the Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure line. This nail polish shade – commander in chic is one of my favourite! I had this polish for a while. I probably snatched it at superstore, but I cannot remember how much is it. (I assume it is under $10CAD)

It is a taupe but looks purple under certain lightings. I know this looks more of a fall/winter polish, but I don’t care. It just looks so sophisticated and chic on the nails that I think it should be wore in all seasons.

There were no issues with the application. It lasted 6 days without chipping.

Photos below are swatched with OPI Nail Envy as base coat + 2 coats + Seche Vite top coat.

Sally Hansen Raisin the Bar Nail Polish Swatch & Review

Hello, there. Today I am reviewing the Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure – Raisin the Bar. I had this polish for at least a year now. I can only think one other time that I wore this. I can’t remember how much I got it for, most likely in the 7.99 CAD – 9.99 CAD range.

I don’t know if there is anything wrong with my bottle of polish. Application is streaky and I got a few bubbles here and there. It was hard to make the coats even.

I like the colour it self. It is a rose colour – a nice alternative to pink.

Unfortunately, It chipped on me the next day. It’s been almost a week now and I see major chipping and I need to take it off as soon as possible.

Photo below is with OPI Nail Envy as base coat + 2 coats + Seche Vite Top Coat.

Lancome Bi-Facil Double Action Eye Makeup Remover Review

I had the Lancome Bi-Facil Double Action Eye Make up Remover ($36CAD) for about a year. As you can see from the photo that it is empty now. Hence, time for a review.

I know this has all the rave online but I didn’t know about it for a long time. A few years ago, I was looking for a good eye makeup remover at Sephora. The sales associate recommended me the Make Up For Ever Sens’Eyes, which was suppose to not sting my eyes. The product has proven otherwise (just FYI, it did a decent job at remove eye makeups but sans sting would be great).

When I had a sleepover at a friend’s place, she let me borrow her Lancome Bi-Facil to take off my makeup. On first impression, I like the fact that you have to shake it up to mix the oil and water. It makes me feel like I’m in Chemistry class. On top of that, it didn’t sting my eyes.

Needless to say, I had to grab my own bottle of this. Because a lot of eye makeup doesn’t stay long on my Asian eyes, I tend to go for long lasting/waterproof products whenever I can. This product does a good job of removing. It is very gentle as well. I use the product with cotton rounds and put it on my eyes for 30 seconds then wipe away. Most of the product will come off within a few wipes.

There is a lovely scent to the Bi-Facil. I am horrible at describing scents so I can’t tell you what it smells likes. In general, I prefer fragrance free (if I want fragance, I will use perfume).

It does leave some oil residue around my eyes. This is not a major issue for me because I always wash my face before I go to sleep anyway.

Would I repurchase? – No, as much as I love it, I can’t justify spending $36 CAD on an eye makeup remover. There are some drug store dupes that I am going to try.
